JOHN TAYLOR DIES AT HOMEJohn Taylor,74, of 6 Howie Rd. Oxford, died Saturday
afternoon at 12:45 at the residence after a lengthy
illness.
He was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of
Calhoun County. Mr. Taylor was a member of Harmony
Baptist Church of Choccolocco.
Funeral services will be conducted at Pleasant Ridge
Baptist Church at a date and time to be announced.
The Rev. George Vines and Fred Cobb will officiate and
burial will be in the adjacent cemetery, Usrey directing.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Roy Fitzpatrick,
Piedmont, Mrs. Johnny Reaves and Mrs. James Smith,
Anniston; Mrs. Oscar Faulkner, DeArmanville; Mrs. B. F.
Williams, Jacksonville, and Mrs. Clarence Burk, of Oxford
Oxford, two sons, Cleve, of DeArmanville and Willard Taylor,
Charleston, S.C.; one brother, Albert, of Oak Level; two
sisters Emmaline Taylor and Lizzie Taylor, of Piedmont;
19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Fitzpatrick, Ocsar Faulkner Jr,
John R. Faulkner, Johnny R. Reaves and Gary and Merrill Taylor.Family links:
