Tonight I went on line to look up Uncle Bud only to find out he has passed away.

My mother was his sister Martha Jewett Epps.

My name was Reba Ann Whitlock. I have a picture of Uncle Bud and me when I was a baby. I always hoped to see him again.

I will miss him.

I believe Mr. Bud was related to my grandmother, Elsie Marie Epps Knox. I want to express our sorrow even if this link is from afar and generations down.

Uncle Bud Epps was my Granny Mary Davis Epps’s baby son, and now only Aunt Myra Epps Cooper of Naples, Fl. is left of Granny’s 10 children, and of course Granddaddy James Thomas Epps. My wife, Wanda, and I met my Aunt Jill Epps, and many cousins yesterday, Feb. 21, 2010 at Edgemont Cem. in Anniston,Ala. to spread his ashes at Granddaddy’s grave as they say was his wish, and later fellowship together before going back to our homes.

Earlier in the day Wanda and I went to Piedmont, Ala. and finally found my GreatGrandparents Hiram Thomas and Martha Ann Chesser Epps’s graves and Samuel H. Epps’s grave and family plot and I took pictures. Thanks be to God, we finally found them,Amen!
